It started New Years Eave 31/12/2010 in Beebe Arkansas with the discovery of 5,000 blackbirds that had fallen from the sky dead. One day later, 100,000 fish suddenly died in the nearby Arkansas River, and more than 500 blackbirds turned up dead in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana. Dozens more were soon reported dead in Gilbertsville, Kentucky.

Then the reports of millions of dead fish and birds from around the globe started.

  • In Brazil, ParanaOnline has reported 100 tons of dead catfish, croaker and sardines.
  • In New Zealand hundreds of dead snapper have been found.
  • Swedish officials are reporting the deaths of dozens of birds.
  • The Baltimore Sun is also reporting the sudden death of 2 million fish in the Chesapeake Bay.
  • Canada are scrambling to deal with the sudden death of 10′s of thousands of wild birds somewhere in the province. Officials dodged local reporters who were removed from outside the Level-4 Canada Science center.
  • Italy over 1000 dead birds

Authorities have attempted to explain the massive numbers of dead birds and dead fish on natural occurrences, like fireworks and weather. However, none of the deaths, so far, have a solid scientific explanation. Officials have also been unable to explain why so many animals have died, in so many different countries, in less than a week.
