COLOMBIA (NBC) – Three volcano eruptions in southwest Colombia sent smoke and ash into the sky and prompted Colombian authorities to declare a red alert in the area.
Authorities believe a larger eruption is imminent from the 14,000 foot Galeras volcano.

The Galeras volcano, located near the south Colombian city of Pasto erupted for the second time in 24 hours. The situation remains at red alert.
