A HUMAN trading error at a “major firm” may have caused a huge plunge in the US share market overnight.

A TRADING error known as the “fat finger problem” at a major investment bank may have caused a huge plunge in the US stock market overnight.

The crash began shortly before 2.25pm local time, when in a white-knuckle 20 minutes America’s top 30 firms saw their share prices dive 998.5 points, almost nine per cent, wiping out billions in market value.

The drop eclipsed even the crashes seen when markets reopened after September 11, 2001 and in the wake of the Lehman Brothers collapse.

Rumours swirled around the market that a trader had reportedly entered a “b” for billion instead of an “m” for million in a trade involving Procter and Gamble, reports said.

This set off a chain of trades that led to the largest intra-day plunge in the history of the Dow Jones Industrials average.

Shares in Procter and Gamble fell from $US61.56 ($69.50) a share to $US39.37 a share and then quickly bounced back again.

Today, Iran is celebrating the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. Hundreds of thousands of Iranians were reported carrying flags and banners through Tehran’s streets in support of the Islamic regime.

State television showed the people, carrying images of the late Islamic leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and his successor incumbent leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and moving to Tehran’s Azadi (liberty) Square.

In addition to Iranian media, some 300 foreign reporters are covering the celebration in Iran.

I am surprised…. well I guess not, as more and more towns are adding Fluoride to their water supplies. It doesn’t clean the water and is very bad for our health and yes too much is bad for our teeth. For those of you that don’t know Fluoride is a by product of aluminium which is toxic and expensive to dispose of, so they add it to our water supplies to make our teeth white, isn’t that nice of them.

Here is an article about Graham Demeny who has quite his job of 15 years at Fitzroy River Water because he refuses to add Fluoride to the water supply because he knows of the dangers. Its good to see someone sticking up for what they believe in, however it has not stopped Fitzroy River Water from added Fluoride to their water supply.

AFTER 15 years loyal service with Fitzroy River Water, Graham Demeny says his career is down the gurgler because of fluoride and an uncompromising council.

Graham, who was responsible for making Rockhampton’s drinking water safe, resigned earlier this month after his request for a transfer within Rockhampton Regional Council was refused.

He said he questioned the safety of adding fluoride to the city’s water supply and ethically wasn’t prepared to do the job.

“For the last 15 years I have worked at the Glenmore Water Treatment Plant operating the chemical dosing of water taken from the Fitzroy River for the city’s consumption,” Graham said.

“Until now all processes adopted have made the water either clean or safe to consume.

“Fluoride addition does neither and questionably compromises the safety aspect.

“With this ethical, plus a few moral issues, I realised my present position was untenable.”

“Spiral” also walked across the sky, leaving a bright blue track.

The whole thing lasted just under one minute and then spiral in the sky collapsed, leaving it in a dark, circular “hole” in the night sky.

I have made a few posts on here in relation to the economic situation of California, i know other states are in trouble to but I did not realize how many. 32 of the 48 states did not make budget this fiscal year. 1000′s of people working for their state have lost their jobs due to cut back and now another 31,000 people will lose their jobs.

Indiana is one of five states — along with Arizona, California, Mississippi and Pennsylvania — bracing for possible shutdowns this week as time runs out for lawmakers to close billion-dollar gaps in their fiscal 2010 budgets.
In California, state finance officials will begin issuing IOUs on Thursday if lawmakers and the governor cannot agree on a way to close a $24-billion shortfall. The IOUs would go to local governments, vendors, taxpayers and college students receiving state financial aid. California has issued such IOUs only one other time — in 1992 — since the Great Depression.

[23 miles off the coast of Gaza, 15:30pm] – Today Israeli Occupation Forces attacked and boarded the Free Gaza Movement boat, the SPIRIT OF HUMANITY, abducting 21 human rights workers from 11 countries, including Noble laureate Mairead Maguire and former U.S. Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney (see below for a complete list of passengers). The passengers and crew are being forcibly dragged toward Israel.

Humanitarian Aid workers trying to deliver aid to Gaza have been kidnapped by Israel forces. I think this is disgusting, they were bringing Medicine, Toys, Olive Trees.

Anyone who thinks the War has ended is ill informed or stupid.

According to an International Committee of the Red Cross report released yesterday, the Palestinians living in Gaza are “trapped in despair.” Thousands of Gazans whose homes were destroyed earlier during Israel’s December/January massacre are still without shelter despite pledges of almost $4.5 billion in aid, because Israel refuses to allow cement and other building material into the Gaza Strip. The report also notes that hospitals are struggling to meet the needs of their patients due to Israel’s disruption of medical supplies

Israel is stopping building and medical supplies from entering Gaza, I guess so when they attack again there is less buildings to destroy and less people to kill.

Humanitarian aid has tried to be given to the Palestine’s yet again and now for the 3rd time (off the top of my head)  since the war broke out late December 2008.

The Israel’s have them basically caged up in their own country, controlling what goes in and out of the country.
