For those of you who don’t know today will be the longest solar eclipse of thge 21st century , unfortunately it is only viewable from Asia and India
Another thing, during this Eclipse people will be able to witness the sun being blocked by a “Super Moon” which means : “A SuperMoon is a perigee-syzygy, a new or full moon (syzygy) which occurs when the Moon is at 90% or greater of its mean closest approach to Earth (perigee).”
The eclipse will last 5min 8.6sec in Shanghai. The 2009 eclipse will not be surpassed in duration until June 13, 2132.
