Opposition Leader Malcolm Turnbull says the federal coalition has agreed to a deal on Labor’s carbon pollution reduction scheme following a marathon meeting on Tuesday.
Even though 41 of the coalition were against and only 33 were for the ETS
“I’m the leader, I’ve made the call,” he repeated.
Makes me sick.
Mr Turnbull is confident the legislation will pass the Senate, which he said was likely to sit extended hours this week to debate the bill.
“Some of the senators have said that regardless of what the party room decided they would cross the floor.
“But I am confident that enough senators will comply with the wishes of the shadow cabinet and party room, that the legislation will be passed.”
I believe that the legislation will be passed this Friday, every body better start saving your money because there is going to now be a Carbon Tax on EVERYTHING because everything consumers power to be produce, grown, manufactured, packed, shipped and sold to you.
Who will be paying for this?? YOU the consumer.
Business can not absorb this extra cost so it will be passed on to us, everything you purchase from Bread and Milk to a flat screen TV will now include a carbon Tax.
This year electricity went up approx 20% – 30% now we will see an increase of another 30% – 40%.
Do they really believe that making people go broke will save the environment???
How is giving $7 Billion to the UN going to help save the environment???
Do they really not see that buy pushing up manufacturing cost in Australia that more people will buy products from china and that this will result in people loosing their jobs, plants closing down in Australia and re opening in countries like China and India??
It just goes to show that the politicians represent their own agendas and pockets and not the people, like WE pay them to do.
Shouldn’t be who don’t do what they are paid to do be fired??
